We all know RevLifter would be nothing without the people to build, champion, and launch the amazing tech we produce.
Our regular ‘Meet the RevLifters’ feature is all about the brains behind the innovation. This week, we talk to Leah Towers, Senior Business Development Manager, who is based in our Newcastle office, about her journey to RevLifter and story so far.
Tell us about your career
I’ve had a very colorful career. I’ve engaged with some very interesting people and businesses globally which has been really exciting. It means I never take a one-size-fits-all approach, as no two conversations are the same.
I have experience in recruitment, sales, and business development, which really enhances the skills that I use on a day-to-day basis. I love to interact and collaborate with people, so business development is a great fit for me.
Describe your role to us
I am a Business Development Manager. This requires expert knowledge on our product in order to effectively deliver demonstrations to clients on our service, solutions and features.
I also build relationships, pitch, and prospect our products to enterprise brands within a dedicated market. This remit requires me to work very closely with the sales development, customer success and product team to determine the best approach to launching RevLifter at a brand.
Why RevLifter?
It’s hard to pick just one reason! The team is just incredible and that makes all the difference.
Aside from that, the products are brilliant. I’ve seen first-hand what RevLifter can do for a business and it’s very impressive. Authenticity is really important for me so believing in the product is key.
What’s different about working here?
I’d say the level of recognition. Regardless of your position, we all work together and acknowledge ideas. We’re always trying new things as well as recognizing and celebrating wins, no matter how big or small.
If you do a great job, it never goes unnoticed and you’re rewarded for your efforts. It’s a very positive atmosphere that feels encouraging and motivates you to always try your best.
What’s your favorite moment from working here so far?
I’d say the opportunity to travel and attend so many different events. It’s a great way to feel closer to the team as well as being able to talk about all the things we’re doing as a business in a face-to-face setting.
What excites you about the journey we’re going on?
More and more people are hearing about RevLifter and what we can do. This is an ever-growing business that recognizes achievements within the team.
With eCommerce constantly evolving, it’s exciting to see more retailers understanding the benefits that hyper-personalizing a consumer journey can have, and being open to that conversation. We have such an innovative and passionate team, so I’m excited for the future.
How have you found the team dynamic?
It’s unmatched. We’re all supportive of each other and that breeds a huge amount of mutual respect and trust. I’d say that’s partly down to our transparency. We’re never afraid to ask for help or support if we need it.
We also collaborate very well together and everyone brings something unique to the table. RevLifter is full of different personalities. I love that, because it makes for a fun, engaging environment, and a great culture.
What do you do in your free time?
I like to bake a lot. I love my fitness and cross-fit (on hold in the winter months!). I also love spending time with my friends and family, whether it’s a trip to the Penshaw tearooms with my nana, or a bottomless brunch with my fiancé and friends.
